What are the characteristics of deep hole tools? Manufacturers answer for you

Deep hole tools are divided into: rough knife, fine knife.
Rough cutters include special cutters for T-shaped deep hole rough and semi-finishing boring heads with cemented carbide welded structure and machine-clamped cutters with single-edged indexable blade structure.
The fine knife (floating boring tool) adopts carbide welding structure, the length direction can be adjusted slightly, and the floating connection is adopted between the knife block and the fine boring head body, which is suitable for the finishing of deep holes.
The tool adopts high-quality indexable coated inserts, which have many characteristics such as high processing efficiency, convenient insert replacement, long-term use of the cutter body, and low tool consumption. It can process various materials such as carbon steel, high-strength alloy steel, and stainless steel.
There are many drilling tools, mainly including ordinary twist drills, indexable shallow hole drills and flat drills. Ordinary twist drills are usually used for drilling holes in machining centers. Ordinary twist drills are mainly composed of a working part and a shank. The shank of the tool is divided into two types: straight shank and tapered shank: the shank of the straight shank tool is mainly a collet shank. , which has the advantages of automatic centering and automatic elimination of deflection, so this type is selected for small-sized tools.
Reaming drills are mostly used in machining centers for reaming, and reaming knives are also used for reaming. For example, when the reaming diameter is small, a straight shank reaming knife can be used, when the reaming diameter is medium, a tapered shank reaming knife can be used, and when the reaming diameter is large, a sleeve type reaming knife can be used. In addition, keyway milling cutters or end mills can also be used for reaming, which has higher controllable machining accuracy than ordinary reaming drills.
The reaming of deep hole tools is generally in the later stage of processing, and most of them are used for finishing with small diameters. Because the number of teeth of the reaming hole is large, the guide is good, the chip pocket is shallow, and the rigidity is good, the dimensional accuracy of the processed hole is high. Ordinary standard reamers have three types: straight shank, tapered shank and sleeve type, which can be selected according to needs during processing.
